Went to Vegas for Labor Day weekend and took today off from work to recover. Crazy fun. I felt like I was in college again. Among the highlights was a male strip show called "Thunder From Down Under", which was equal parts hilarious and sexy. So, the thing about Kid Things is this: it got really dark on me. When I first envisioned this story I imagined half cute kid, half wacky roadtrip hijinks, maybe some angst tossed in for fun. Apparently that is not to be. I keep trying to steer it in a slightly less depressing direction, but it's not going. The chapters just keep getting darker. So ( Read more... )

Hoookay. This is my first *real* fic. I mean, I actually posted it somewhere else, which = me freaking out.
